I love my Clients: Salt Hive Silver

I first started working with Michelle back in 2021, when she was just getting her silversmith business, Salt Hive Silver, off the ground. Besides being my almost sister-in-law and restaurant coworker for years (yes, we’ve been through a lot together!), Michelle is one of the most talented silversmiths and jewelry designers I know. With an eye for beauty and impeccable taste, she creates handcrafted sterling silver jewelry that’s truly one-of-a-kind. Each piece she makes is timeless, bold, and something you can’t help but wear every day.

Now, I may be a little biased (I LOVE her jewelry), but I can honestly say that Michelle’s work is stunning. Once I started wearing her jewelry, I couldn’t go back to store-bought pieces or cheaply made jewelry. Every item feels so intentional and high-quality—like a signature accessory that completes any outfit. Yet, despite her immense talent, Michelle is incredibly modest. She’s never one to boast about her business or her skills, even though she’s running a successful small business and producing pieces that are well above the rest.

Building Her Online Presence

When Michelle approached me about helping her build an online presence for Salt Hive Silver, I was thrilled. There’s something really special about helping a small business grow from the ground up, especially when you’re working with someone who has such raw talent and passion. Michelle had the craftsmanship down, but building a website and showcasing her work online was a new frontier for her. That’s where I came in to help with small business web design.

We started with the basics: creating a clean, professional website that reflected her aesthetic and showcased her beautiful pieces. With a minimalist yet bold design (a perfect match for her jewelry), we brought her brand to life online. Michelle’s pieces are so stunning on their own, so we kept the website design simple, allowing the jewelry to shine.

From Silversmith to Photographer—and So Much More

One of the coolest things about working with Michelle has been watching her dive into the world of photography, web design, and marketing. In the beginning, I had the pleasure of photographing her stunning jewelry, which was an incredibly artistically-rewarding experience. But here’s the amazing part: Michelle didn’t stop there. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of training her in photography, web design, marketing, and even graphic design—all things that were new to her when she started. Now, she’s not only a master silversmith, but also a talented photographer and a skilled designer. Seeing her capture her own work with the same care and artistry she puts into her jewelry, while also managing her online presence, has been such a rewarding journey. This lady is now proficient in so many areas that have helped elevate her business to new heights!

The Growth of Salt Hive Silver

Watching Michelle’s journey over the past few years has been incredibly rewarding. She’s come such a long way, building Salt Hive Silver into something truly special. From crafting exquisite pieces to mastering the art of showcasing her work online, she’s proven that she’s more than just a talented artist—she’s a skilled businesswoman, too. She’s grown her brand, built an audience, and established a strong online presence that’s as timeless as her jewelry.

If you’re in the market for handcrafted, designer sterling silver jewelry, I can’t recommend Salt Hive Silver enough. Whether you're looking for a classic piece to wear every day or a bold statement accessory, Michelle's work is the perfect choice. Plus, you’ll be supporting a woman-owned, small business that’s as authentic as they come.
