Finally someone sat down and made this make sense.

Let me explain it like a real human.
No jargon. No condescension. Just the thing nobody has actually explained to you yet.
SEO stands for search engine optimization. When someone types a question into Google, thousands of websites are trying to answer it. SEO is the work that decides which ones show up first. That's it.
It's not magic, not a secret, and not something only agencies understand. It's a set of decisions about how your website is built, what it says, and how the rest of the internet references it. When those decisions are made well, people find you. When they're not, you're invisible no matter how good your work is.
You've been showing up invisible. Not because your work isn't good. Because nobody built your site to be found.

What actually is SEO and why does everyone say I need it?+
SEO is what makes your website findable when someone searches for what you do. Your website can look incredible and still be completely invisible if the underlying structure, copy, and technical decisions aren't built with search in mind. Everyone says you need it because they're right. Most of them just don't know how to explain it.
How long does SEO take to work?+
Honestly, longer than most people tell you. Three to six months is a realistic starting window for measurable movement. The flip side is that when it works, it keeps working. Most of my results are foundations still paying off years later. It's not a quick fix. It's infrastructure.
Can I just do SEO myself with AI tools?+
You can learn it and do parts of it yourself, yes. That's actually what the Self-Paced option is built for. AI tools can help with certain pieces but they also produce a lot of generic content that actively hurts rankings. The strategy, the structure, and the editorial judgment still need a human who knows what they're doing.
Is SEO the same as social media or ads?+
Different things entirely. Ads stop the moment you stop paying. Social media content disappears in 48 hours. SEO compounds. A page built and optimized well can bring in traffic for years without you touching it again. They can work together, but they're not interchangeable.
How do I know if my current SEO is working or not?+
Google Search Console is free and will tell you exactly how many people are finding you through search and what they're searching for. If you don't have it set up, that's usually the first thing we do. If you do have it and you're not sure how to read it, that's a perfect Pick My Brain conversation.
